One of the best things about staying at any of the Xcaret hotels is that you get full, unlimited and free access to all of their parks. And since I know it can feel a bit overwhelming at first to decide which ones to visit if you don’t have enough time to see them all, I wanted to put together this practical guide to ALL the Xcaret parks: what each one is about, how much time you need to visit them, strengths and weaknesses, how many parks there are in total, and much more 😊
Don’t worry, because even if you’re not staying at one of the Xcaret hotels, you can still visit the parks. The Xcaret parks are one of the biggest attractions in Riviera Maya, and even if you’re not staying at their hotels, they absolutely deserve a visit. So we’ll also tell you how much each park costs, which ones are the most worthwhile, and we’ll give you discount codes so you can save some money 🤭.

Resumen de contenido de este post
Our opinion of the Xcaret parks, which Xcaret park is the best?
Although I’m going to talk to you in detail about all the Xcaret parks a bit further down, if you’ve come here looking to make a quick decision, these are our favorite Xcaret parks:
It might seem strange that our list doesn’t include the main Xcaret park or Xel-Há, but both have animals in captivity, and as you know, we are totally against tourism that promotes animal mistreatment. Although we’re going to talk about them, we feel it’s our responsibility to warn you about this in case you prefer not to visit them for the same reason we chose not to 😊
How many parks does Xcaret have?
In this list we are not counting Xenotes as one of the Xcaret parks (we’ve included it in the tours section), so taking that into account, we can say there are a total of 8 Xcaret parks, which are:

⚠️ If you’re reading this on your phone, remember the table is scrollable.
As you can see, Xcaret park prices are not low, but overall, they’re absolutely worth it. The cheapest one, Xenses, costs around 70 euros. And Xcaret or Xplor, which are the most expensive, cost around 130 euros per person. If you’re Mexican, you get a 10% discount with the code PROMOMEX 😉
👉🏼 Don’t worry, because when I talk about each one, I’ll explain in detail the prices of the Xcaret parks and what’s included in the ticket.

Xcaret parks, which ones are worth it and which ones aren’t?
If your time and budget are limited, I’m sure this mini guide to the Xcaret parks will be super helpful when deciding where and how to spend your money on your next holiday 😊 We’re going to tell you what you’ll see in each of the Xcaret parks, which activities are the best, how long you need to visit each one, how much they cost, and what the ticket includes.
⚠️ Before we begin, this is important: you should know that there are MANY scams surrounding the Xcaret universe, as well as lots of supposed “bargains”. So to avoid being scammed, the best thing you can do is ALWAYS book through the official website. All the links in this post take you directly to the official site, which we can confirm is completely safe.
They are not cheap parks, but if you plan to go for several days, they offer package discounts. Plus, children get a 50% discount 😉

1. Xcaret Park
Xcaret Park is where the whole Xcaret universe began, which has now become one of Mexico’s top attractions. The great thing about Xcaret Park is that, besides having fun activities (many of them water-based) and being in a beautiful setting, it’s also a huge tribute to Mayan and Mexican culture and folklore.
BUY XCARET PARK TICKETS WITH A DISCOUNT
A great example of this is its impressive nighttime show “México Espectacular”, which offers an incredible journey through the country’s history and traditions: its dances, its sports, its music…
Xcaret Park has rivers, beaches, a butterfly pavilion, a super curious cemetery, Mayan ruins, catacombs, caves, a lookout tower, boat rides, workshops and a ton of interesting areas and activities that will make the day fly by. A total of 50 attractions!

Xcaret Park has 7 buffet restaurants that you can enjoy for free if you buy the Xcaret Plus ticket (and if you’re staying at one of the Xcaret hotels like Xcaret Arte or Xcaret México, they’re also included 😉).
From 17:00 onwards, the park starts dressing up for the evening, and you’ll come across different shows that act as a small teaser for the grand nighttime performance. You can check the park map with all attractions here.
We didn’t visit Xcaret Park because there are animals in captivity such as pumas, turtles, birds… and that promotes a kind of tourism we don’t agree with. But if you want, it’s possible to visit the park just to watch the nighttime show, paying a much cheaper ticket.

The cheapest Xcaret Park ticket costs around 2,400 MXN, which is approximately 100 USD.
🎟️ You can buy your discounted ticket here.
➡️ Keep in mind that there are several types of Xcaret tickets depending on what they include: the cheapest one only covers park entry (you’ll have to pay for food separately), then there’s Xcaret Plus, which includes unlimited food at one of the buffet restaurants for the whole day (around 157 USD), and finally Xcaret Total, which includes food (also unlimited) plus one extra activity (around 215 USD).
2. Xenses
Xenses is the newest addition to the Xcaret universe and the most innovative and different of all the Xcaret parks. Xenses is a full-on experience for your senses, challenging you in the most fun and original ways: optical illusions, visual tricks, perspective games…
BUY XENSES PARK TICKETS WITH A DISCOUNT
And not only that… Xenses also has space for adventure with water and air activities such as Riolajante, Lodorama or Bird Flight.

Xenses is divided into two zones: the Path of Doing and the Path of Feeling. In the first one, you’ll find the more adventurous activities (and yes, you will get wet), and in the second one they’ll try to blow your mind (you won’t get wet here). And trust me, in some cases… they succeed 😝
BUY XENSES PARK TICKETS WITH A DISCOUNT
Our recommendation is to do the Path of Feeling first, with the Xensatorium as the main highlight, and then move on to the Path of Doing, where you will definitely get wet. Go with a very open mind because in Xenses they’re going to play with your brain to the limit. I don’t want to tell you much more, because the best part is discovering it yourself 😉

📸 If your budget allows it, we HIGHLY recommend getting the photo package, because it is SO worth it and you’ll take home a beautiful memory.
The cheapest Xenses ticket costs around 1,470 MXN, which is about 81 USD.
🎟️ You can buy your discounted ticket here.
➡️ Keep in mind that at Xenses, food is not included in the ticket, so we recommend having a good breakfast so you don’t have to spend extra there. The whole park can be visited in half a day, so you won’t need to have a meal inside unless you want to.
3. Xenses Insomnia
Did you like what I told you about Xenses? Well, the great thing is that you can also enjoy it at night, with everything that comes with it: the park illuminated to increase the fantasy and all the activities ready to be experienced in the middle of the night. Tell me that doesn’t sound like an amazing plan.
👉🏼 Xenses Insomnia is the nighttime version of Xenses, and there are no differences between them. It’s exactly the same as Xenses, but at night.
BUY XENSES INSOMNIA TICKETS WITH A DISCOUNT
Just like in Xenses, if your budget allows it, I highly recommend getting the photo package because it is SO worth it.
The cheapest Xenses Insomnia ticket costs 1,470 MXN, around 81 USD.
🎟️ You can buy your discounted ticket here.
➡️ Keep in mind that at Xenses Insomnia, food is not included in the ticket, so we recommend eating well beforehand so you don’t have to spend extra there.
4. Xplor
Xplor is without a doubt our absolute favorite Xcaret park ❤️
And if you’ve come to Riviera Maya looking for thrilling adventures, you cannot miss it under any circumstances. Xplor is mostly known for its incredible zip-line circuits (including the tallest zip-line in Riviera Maya!), but the park is SO much more than that.

At Xplor, besides the two zip-line circuits (one more extreme and the other a bit gentler), which take around 45 minutes each, you’ll find super fun buggy routes, stunning underground rivers perfect for swimming, cavern walks, “hamacuatizaje,” rafting through caves… Seriously, it’s an INSANE park. If we could only visit one, it would undeniably be this one.
BUY XPLOR TICKETS WITH A DISCOUNT
When you go to Xplor, keep in mind that the zip-lines are the most sought-after activity, so it’s the first thing you should do to avoid long lines. The good thing is that in the center of the park, where the main hub is located, you’ll find traffic-light indicators showing the current occupancy level of each attraction.
📸 If your budget allows it, we highly recommend getting the photo package, it’s SO worth it. You won’t be able to bring your camera/phone on most activities, so this is the only way to take those memories back home 😊

The cheapest ticket to Xplor costs 2,750 MXN, about 151 USD.
🎟️ You can buy your discounted ticket here.
➡️ With your Xplor ticket, food and drinks are included. You’ll enjoy them at the main buffet restaurant El Troglodita and you can also grab snacks at the bars spread throughout the park. Food and beverages are unlimited — take as much as you want, whenever you want 😊
5. Xplor Fuego
Did you like what I just told you about Xplor? The good news is that you can also experience this park at night, with everything that comes with it: a torch-lit jungle and zip-lines under the stars. Tell me that doesn’t sound like a dream plan.

⚠️ Xplor Fuego is the nighttime version of Xplor, and the only difference is that at Xplor Fuego you can only do one of the zip-line circuits. Everything else is the same as Xplor, just at night.
As with Xplor, if your budget allows it, we highly recommend getting the photo package, it’s absolutely worth it.
BUY XPLOR FUEGO TICKETS WITH A DISCOUNT
The cheapest ticket for Xplor Fuego costs 2,380 MXN, about 131 USD.

🎟️ You can buy your discounted ticket here.
➡️ With your Xplor Fuego ticket, food and drinks are included. You’ll enjoy them at the main buffet El Troglodita, and you can also grab snacks at the bars around the park. Food and beverages are unlimited, you can take as much as you want, whenever you want 😊
6. Xoximilco
If you love a good party, you’re going to adore Xoximilco. While it’s not exactly a “park,” it is an incredible experience to get a real taste of what a proper Mexican party is like 😜
The name might sound familiar if you already know a bit about Mexico, because the real Xochimilco lake is in Mexico City. Xoximilco at Xcaret is a very similar concept: brightly colored trajineras (boats) sailing through a lake while you listen to Mexican music, enjoy regional snacks, and taste tequila, mezcal and other traditional drinks. Sounds amazing, right?

What we loved most about Xoximilco, besides the epic vibe on the boat, is how beautifully decorated the trajineras are super colorful and illuminated. Once it gets dark, you won’t be able to stop taking photos.
BUY XOXIMILCO TICKETS WITH A DISCOUNT
The experience begins with boarding the trajinera (which fits up to 20 people) and sailing through the lake while stopping to listen to different live music bands, pick up snacks, and take photos. It’s a super fun activity.

Oh! And don’t forget to use the mosquito repellent you’ll find on the trajinera when you board, you’re going to need it. The mosquitos at Xoximilco don’t bite, they DEVOUR 😝

The cheapest ticket for Xoximilco costs 2,020 MXN, around 111 USD.
🎟️ You can buy your discounted ticket here.
➡️ Keep in mind that your Xoximilco ticket includes ALL the food and drinks you want during the cruise, just don’t expect a full meal. What you’ll taste are small samples of traditional dishes from the region, like cochinita pibil.
7. Xel-Há
Although many Xcaret parks include water activities, the universe definitely needed a fully aquatic park, and that’s what Xel-Há is for.
Just like the other Xcaret parks, attractions at Xel-Há are nearly endless: unlimited snorkelling, a floating river ride, a 40-meter viewpoint tower with a built-in slide, rope challenges, zip-lines and jumps, jungle trails, cenotes, grottos, caves… the list is long.
BUY XEL-HÁ TICKETS WITH A DISCOUNT
👉🏼 You can check the full map of attractions here.

Your Xel-Há ticket includes breakfast (from 09:30 to 11:30) and unlimited food and drinks (from 11:30 to 17:30). You can eat and drink as much as you want all day for free, and if you’re staying at one of the Xcaret hotels (like Xcaret Arte or Xcaret México), it’s included too 😉
The park has several buffet restaurants (included with your ticket), and people say Xel-Há has the best buffets of all the Xcaret parks.
BUY XEL-HÁ TICKETS WITH A DISCOUNT
Basic recommendations for visiting Xel-Há: arrive as early as possible, start with the attractions that get the biggest lines (the giant slide and the river float), bring water shoes (closed-toe!), and don’t forget sunscreen.
We didn’t visit Xel-Há because they have captive animals, like manatees you can swim with… and that promotes a type of tourism we don’t support.

The cheapest ticket for Xel-Há costs 2,110 MXN, around 100 euros.
🎟️ You can buy your discounted ticket here.
➡️ Keep in mind that your Xel-Há ticket includes breakfast, lunch and drinks, available at the buffet restaurants and the snack bars throughout the park.
8. Xavage
Of all the Xcaret parks, Xavage is without a doubt the most extreme. It shares its location with Xoximilco, so when you visit you’ll see the trajineras “parked” right next to an area known as La Isla.
⚠️ Xavage is temporarily closed for renovation, but we’re keeping it on the list in case it reopens by the time you visit.

Xavage is designed for the most adventurous travelers, and it shows, especially in its attractions:
- Puma. An intense buggy route with pretty extreme obstacles.
- Dragonfly. A high-speed jet boat with impossible spins and turns.
- Monkeys. If you’re brave and in good shape, you’ll love this high-ropes challenge through trees, nets, and structures. There are 4 difficulty levels, with the highest area reaching around 120 meters.
- Crocodile. A kayaking route through the park’s rivers and lakes.
- Barracuda. If you love rapid-river rides, you’ll enjoy this white-water rafting attraction 😉 It’s very popular, so go early.
- Falcon. A giant zip-line that makes you feel like a hawk gliding through the air.
- Snake. A non-adventure zone designed for kids or anyone who prefers calmer activities.
It’s important to know that some of these activities require a minimum level of physical fitness, otherwise, you might not enjoy them fully. Make sure to research each attraction and decide which ticket option suits you best.

When you visit Xavage, remember to bring closed-toe shoes and protect yourself well from the sun, as you’ll spend most of your time exposed without many shaded areas. We recommend arriving as soon as it opens to enjoy the most popular attractions without waiting in line.
BUY XAVAGE TICKETS WITH A DISCOUNT
The cheapest ticket costs 1,470 MXN (just under 81 USD), but keep in mind that the basic ticket only includes four attractions. The All-Inclusive ticket costs over 2,750 MXN (a bit more than 151 USD) and includes ALL activities with unlimited access.
🎟️ You can buy your discounted ticket here.
➡️ Your Xavage ticket includes food and non-alcoholic drinks, available at the main buffet restaurant and a snack bar that stays open all day.
Xcaret tours: Which one are worth it?
In addition to all the Xcaret parks, the experience offered by the group also includes Xcaret tours, which are also included in the All Fun Inclusive concept of the Xcaret hotels.
In our opinion, unless you’re staying at one of the hotels, there are a thousand better options for these activities, but of course, if you can take advantage and do them for free, it’s a great opportunity. Still, we’re going to walk you through all of them in case the schedules, timing, and prices work for you 😉
1. Xenotes
Xenotes is a guided tour through which you’ll learn everything about cenotes and how they were formed. During the excursion, you’ll visit four different types of cenotes (and sometimes a fifth, depending on how the tour goes): Open cenote exposed to the sun, closed cenote, ancient cenote and cavern or semi-open cenote.
These are guided tours with a maximum of 20 people per group, so you won’t experience the overcrowding typical of many other activities of this kind. Plus, the cenotes visited on this tour are exclusively used by Xcaret, meaning you won’t run into other groups outside the tour.

In addition to the visit itself and swimming in the cenotes, the tour also includes cliff jumps, kayaking, slides, ziplines, and snorkeling.
The cheapest Xenotes tour starts at 2,750 MXN, around 151 USD.
🎟️ You can buy your discounted ticket here.
👉🏼 Keep in mind: the tour lasts the entire day, and the price includes snacks, drinks, and lunch, simple, but more than enough.
2. Xailing
If you’re hoping to visit the picturesque (and beautiful) Isla Mujeres, you can do so aboard Xcaret Xailing.
When you buy your ferry ticket to Isla Mujeres, you also get access to the Scenic Tower of Cancún, where you can enjoy panoramic views from above.

The first ferry of the day leaves at 9:00 a.m. and the last returns at 8:00 p.m. Just keep in mind that schedules depend on weather and operational capacity 😉
🎟️ You can buy your discounted ticket here.
3. Xcaret Catamaran
Xcaret also offers more complete tours to Isla Mujeres. There are two options: Xcaret Catamaran Light and Xcaret Catamaran Prime.
Both include round-trip transportation, on-board music, fruit and cookies, snorkeling at El Meco, and free time on Isla Mujeres. However, the Prime tour includes access to Zaza Beach Club, with food and open bar.

The Light tour is around 1,700 MXN (95 USD), while the Prime tour is under 2,500 MXN (139 USD).
🎟️ You can buy your discounted ticket here.
4. Xichén
Of course, Xcaret also offers a full-day excursion to the incredible ruins of Chichén Itzá. This tour includes a guided visit (which is essential), a stop at the sacred cenote Tsukán, and a visit to the city of Valladolid.

The cheapest Xichén tour costs around 3,399 MXN (163 USD).
🎟️ You can buy your discounted ticket here.
👉🏼 Keep in mind: breakfast, lunch, and drinks are included. Lunch is served at the buffet «La Casona de Valladolid», where you can try delicious Yucatecan cuisine.
5. Tulum + Xel-Há
If you want to combine a guided visit to the Tulum ruins with a day at Xel-Há, this tour is perfect. It lasts the entire day and is ideal if you don’t have much time in Riviera Maya and want to see both the cultural and adventurous sides of the region.

The cheapest Tulum tour costs around 3,799 MXN (186 USD).
🎟️ You can buy your discounted ticket here.
👉🏼 Includes lunch buffet and drinks at Xel-Há.
6. Cobá
If you want to visit the Cobá ruins, you can join this other Xcaret tour, where you’ll explore Cobá and then enjoy Xel-Há. You’ll visit two of the most important archaeological sites in Riviera Maya, and then cool off at Xcaret’s natural water park.
The cheapest Cobá tour is around 3,799 MXN (186 USD).
🎟️ You can buy your discounted ticket here.
👉🏼 Includes lunch buffet and unlimited non-alcoholic drinks.
